I received this audiobook as a gift and my review is my own. I thought the cover art was brilliant as well. She fleshes out the already amazing characters to a new height. She showed excellent vocal skills without overdoing it. America's New Wild West! Narration: Annika Conner was hands down the best reader for this audiobook. I love that the author is mingling names from the old west as well as from classics and pop culture and creating this fabulous weird world that's totally fun. I also liked the new kid in town named Balmy who is Stormy Wether's kid sister. ![]() The characters, mainly Kit Carson are relatable and likeable. You’ve got a number of really famous people who’ve voiced parts for the show, like Meryl Streep and Tim Gunn and Peter Dinklage. So you really have to find creative ways of letting people know what’s happening. But you can’t rely on anyone’s facial expression or any visual cue about what anything looks like. There’s a ton of stuff that would just be really crazy to try to make happen visually. We could do anything we wanted without worrying how much it was going to cost to produce or make it look like that.
